Psychosocial Support:
The children’s psychosocial needs are mainly met through counseling, regular home visits, and the monthly kids club meetings which they anxiously look forward to every month. During the club meetings, the children are equipped with life skills. They learn how to relate with people and discover their own potentials. Most times they are in charge while the volunteer or staff only supervises them as they already have their club presidents, vice president and secretary.
The classes are often divided into 3 groups: 0-5, 6-7, and 13-17 although most of the 0-2 children are often with their caregivers till they get used to the meetings and gradually join their peers.
Education
Educational support is provided based on assessment conducted by community care workers at school levels through the child’s school teachers to ascertain what area intervention is required, materials are then provided accordingly. Children from most vulnerable households who are good in certain vocation are also linked to vocational training centers to acquire more skills.

This is done through nutritional talks, food demonstration and provision of food parcels in form of rice, beans and therapeutic feeding which is given to children who are mal-nourished in the program. Critically malnourished cases are treated at the Children and Adolescent Health Centers after prior counseling and food demonstration to the caregiver.

PROTECTION SUPPORT
The core values of our OVC program were rooted in the principles of child protection – developing and implementing activities that placed the best interests of the child and his or her family above all else. Thus, efforts were made to confront and minimize the reality of stigma and social neglect faced by the children, as well as abuse (Physical,Verbal) exploitation, the taking of inherited property and unlawful eviction by landlords. Through advocacy and assistance from the Child care community forum(CCCF), the organisation through patnership with the National Population Commision registers the birth of the vulnerable children in her program. This has given the children identity necessary for educational and social services.
